Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
Follow proper food safety practices during meal preparation and service
Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders
Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Excellent serving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish quality
Familiarity with the food industry's best practices for cleanliness and safety
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for success in this role
