What This Role Is All About
At Chard, we're committed to creating exceptional rental communities where people feel at home. We're looking for a Leasing Specialist who shares our passion for service and results. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective residents--welcoming them with warmth, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what makes Chard's purpose-built rentals unique.You'll guide individuals through every step of the leasing journey: responding to inquiries, booking showings, leading thoughtful and personalized tours, preparing lease documents, and supporting smooth move-ins. Your work ensures a seamless experience for every resident and reflects the high standards we set across all our communities.
What You'll Be Doing
Leasing & Resident ExperienceRespond to leasing inquiries with urgency and professionalism--whether online, by phone, or in person--with the goal of converting interest into signed leases.
Lead compelling property tours that highlight suite features, building amenities, and the lifestyle benefits of living in a Chard community--always with a focus on closing the lease.
Build strong relationships with prospective and current residents by delivering a consistent, informed, and service-driven leasing experience that drives retention and referrals.
Host weekly open house events to generate traffic, build pipeline, and capture qualified leads.
Administrative & Operational SupportMaintain accurate and timely records in property management and CRM systems (e.g., Yardi), including traffic reports, lease data, and applicant communications--supporting data-driven leasing decisions.
Collaborate with the Property Manager, Maintenance, and Resident Services teams to ensure suites are tour-ready and move-in ready--removing barriers to conversion.
Support marketing initiatives by distributing materials, updating listings, and capturing feedback from prospective renters to refine outreach and improve results.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in residential leasing, property management, hospitality, or a related field--ideally with a track record of driving leasing results and meeting sales targets.
Solid understanding of lease agreements, rental processes, and relevant legislation such as the Residential Tenancy Act.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and familiar with property management platforms like Yardi--you know how to leverage tools to stay organized and close deals.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends to support showings and connect with prospective residents when it matters most.

A strong communicator with a natural ability to connect--your warmth and professionalism make prospective residents feel welcome and confident in choosing a Chard community.
Experienced in residential leasing or a related field, with a clear understanding of what drives leasing success and how to close with confidence.
Highly organized and detail-oriented--you take pride in accuracy, follow-through, and keeping systems up to date to support leasing performance.

This is a part-time, contract role. The hourly rate is $25-$30 based on candidate experience.
