Specific Position Duties:
Shall be a dynamic student-centred educator committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
Deliver curriculum-aligned instruction in multiple subject areas across Grades 7-10, with a focus on literacy, wellness, and career/life skills
Use instructional technology tools to enhance engagement and learning outcomes
Collaborate with school staff to support student success and a positive school culture in a rural K-12 setting
Training and/or experience in Division 3 English Language Arts and Social Studies is considered an asset
Qualifications and General Duties:
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset
