POSITION:
We are looking for a PPart-Time IT Support & SEO Specialist to manage two critical functions: optimizing our clients' websites to improve their search engine rankings and providing reliable in-house IT and audiovisual support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of switching between the analytical world of SEO and the hands-on, technical demands of IT troubleshooting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will encompass:
SEO (Approx. 50% of time):
Conduct comprehensive SEO audits and competitive analysis for client websites
Develop and implement on-page SEO strategies, including keyword research, meta tag optimization, and content structure improvements
Execute technical SEO initiatives, such as improving site speed, fixing crawl errors, and ensuring mobile-friendliness
Manage and build quality backlinks through various outreach and content strategies
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console
IT & Audiovisual Support (Approx. 50% of time):
Provide first-line IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Set up, configure, and provide technical support for Zoom and Polycom video conference systems
Manage and maintain AV equipment in meeting and conference rooms
Assist with user account management, software installations, and basic cybersecurity hygiene
Document IT procedures and solutions for common issues.
Maintain an organized and meticulously maintained facility environment
Document responses to provide support for events, ensuring accurate tracking of incident progress
Fulfilling any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must:
Proven, hands-on experience in executing SEO campaigns with measurable results.
Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console and Google Analytics)
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve common IT support issues (e.g., Windows/macOS, MS Office, network connectivity)
Practical experience providing support for Zoom and other video conferencing solutions
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively across different tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including social media platforms and analytics as well as AI tools (Chat GPT, midjourney, and etc.)
High level of comfort in engaging with individuals of diverse personalities in person, over the phone, and via remote tools
Capability to handle heavy equipment, up to 30 lbs in weight
Ability to multitask effectively and work autonomously
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with an eye for design and visual aesthetics
Willingness to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
Desired Skills:
Exceptional customer service acumen and punctuality
Strong organizational skills, enabling effective planning and task management within time constraints
Formal certifications in IT (e.g., CompTIA A+, Google IT Support) or SEO/Digital Marketing
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website structures
Keen attention to detail
Aptitude for collaborative teamwork
Preferred experience in cadets or military roles
WORK HOURS:
November to January with possibility to extend.
While members are contacted for various projects, be prepared to work about 10 to 20 hours per week on:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
