The Opportunity:
A part-time Instructor to teach in the Hairstyling program.
What you need to be successful:
Diploma in Hairstyling, or Certificate of Qualification as a Hairstylist
o Specialization in Foundational styling an asset
Hairstylist license for a minimum of 5 years
o Red seal is considered an asset
Post-secondary teaching experience, curriculum development, and/or an education degree is an asset
Minimum 5 years of current industry work experience
Background in all vocational learning outcomes, including haircutting (shaping), coloring, styling, hair extensions, wigs, sales, and marketing
Demonstrated Cultural and Intercultural knowledge and competency
Strong interpersonal skills to work within a collaborative team environment
Excellent leadership, coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills
Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Strong customer services skills
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft 365; working knowledge of D2L/earning Management Systems
This is a part-time teaching contract, with a start date of January 2026. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
