We are seeking a skilled HR professional to support our team with various tasks on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include developing HR-related systems, processes and policies, managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, coordinating employee training, leading HR projects, and more. The successful candidate should have relevant experience, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Responsibilities:



- Create new job descriptions, post jobs, screen candidates, send offers outlining employment terms, pay rate, etc, and create employment and confidentiality agreements

- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and provide recommendations based upon employee feedback

- Conflict resolution management between employees, documentation of incidences, and communication to management

- Provide a safe and compassionate ear to employees that want to raise concerns or discuss work-related matters, documentation of such incidences and communication to management if needed

- Review and provide recommendations on workplace policies around equity, harassment, safety, etc.; create documentation and/or lead team trainings associated with new policies created

- Assist in creating a criteria for evaluating job performance to be used by our team

- Participate in discussions with employees about pay rates, and provide recommendations re changes needed to pay rates through wage studies

- Updates to Employee Handbook when needed

- Assist in developing a process to communicate unsatisfactory behaviour to employees to ensure they are held accountable, and are being follow-up on

- Create written warnings, lead verbal warning discussions, and lead termination discussions

- Create and deliver performance improvement plans to employees

- Complete exit interviews with employees that have given notice

- Provide Employment Verification letters for employees, when needed

- Review, advise on, and implement training and development programs

- Advise on organizational structure design and job analysis including accountability and responsibilities matrix

Skills & Key Competencies:



- 5+ years of experience in HR administration or generalist roles

- Adept at developing and implementing HR strategies that support the organization's objectives

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail

- Excel at active listening and possess excellent emotional intelligence

- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills

- Excellent organizational skills needed to manage time, tasks, and priorities

- Expertise in recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development

- Strong understanding and ability to apply employment laws and regulations to ensure legal adherence while upholding high ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality

- Ability to remain flexible - adjusting to new challenges and changing priorities in the workplace

- Adept at problem-solving

- Command of HR software and technology to manage processes, data, and employee records

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
