Reporting to the Director, Program Quality, Professional and Part-time Learning, the Online Course Developer will work closely with the Curriculum Quality and Development Manager to support the creation of engaging and effective course materials for an online course: PDLD 1380-Pedagogy and Leadership. Work will be done remotely.activities

  • Identify, design, and develop appropriate learning materials for technology mediated learning including developing new content, curating available material, navigation layout, assessments, text and visual content etc.;
  • Implement the principles of Universal Design for Learning during development of materials;
  • Maintain alignment of all teaching materials with the course learning outcomes;
  • Ensure all materials are AODA and WCAG 2.0 compliant and follow copyright law.
The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:1. Minimum of five years of recent experience in early childhood;2. Holds an Early Childhood Education (ECE) designation;3. Holds a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or higher) in a related field;4. At least 5 years of cumulative post-secondary teaching and/or course development experience in a related field, with an emphasis on technology enhanced teaching an asset;5. High technical skill using all main functions of learning management systems, particularly D2L Brightspace;6. HTML experience an asset;7. Ability to effectively design, develop and integrate technology to meet curricular needs;8. Demonstrated skill and good judgment in selection of appropriate teaching materials;9. The ability to produce quality written documentation;10. Excellent research and critical thinking skills;11. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and participate in consultative decision making;12. The demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines;13.
