Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in assisting with food preparation, food handling, and overall kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience in restaurant or hotel settings preferred.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients Support cooking activities under supervision to ensure timely meal service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures Help with dishwashing and sanitation to meet health standards Organize storage areas for ingredients and supplies Support serving staff as needed during meal service Ensure the kitchen remains organized and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices is advantageous Experience in cleaning and maintaining cleanliness standards in a commercial kitchen setting is a plus Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices is desirable Prior experience in food service or hospitality roles will be considered an asset

Job Type: Part-time
