Job Description

Our program is looking to add a part-time educator to our team who will support our vision and operations. This individual should have a passion for working in early childcare. Our daycare centre is licensed for children newborn to 6 years. We are located in Old Strathcona, just off Whyte Avenue.

At this time, we will only consider individuals who are already certified in Early Childcare. Applicants with all certification levels are welcome to apply. Previous experience working in a daycare is extremely valuable.

Candidates must have a valid Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, or attain it upon hiring. First aid certification will also need to be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.

The position we have available is temporary and part-time, two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). There will be opportunity to pick up more hours when staff have appointments, vacation or any last minute absences. The position could turn in to something full-time down the road. Things will be reassessed after 3 months. Flexibility in schedule is an asset.

The selected individual would be working with toddlers and infants. A willingness and openness to work in all rooms, with all ages, is a must.
