Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

We are seeking candidates of

all levels of education and/or experience

to fill a part time position in our centre. The position is a minimum of 16 hours a week with additional hours offered as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves engaging with children in various activities, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their developmental needs. The candidate will work closely with children of different ages, including those with disabilities, to promote inclusive learning experiences.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all children. Assist with daily routines including meals, nap times, and playtime. Implement educational programs that cater to the individual needs of each child. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the childcare space. Collaborate with other staff members to support children with disabilities and ensure inclusive practices. Observe and document children's behavior and development for assessment purposes.

Qualifications

Ability to pass a criminal background and vulnerable sector check. CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one. Previous classroom experience or background in early childhood education is preferred. Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities, is highly valued. Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children in meaningful activities. A nurturing demeanor with excellent caregiving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.50-$33.12 per hour
