Job Description

I am a 42-year-old male with a form of Muscular Dystrophy, and I am seeking someone who can assist me in my home with personal/companion care. I currently reside in SE Airdrie. I am easy going, so you will be greeted with a stress-free working environment.

I'm looking for an individual to work Sunday & Monday ~8:00AM - 1:00 PM.

Job Responsibilities:

Full assistance with transfers (using a ceiling lift), toileting, washing, dressing, grooming, and light meal preparation/feeding. There will also be some light housekeeping. I would also like someone to go out in the community with me.

Desired Qualifications:

I'm looking for someone who possesses a down-to-earth attitude while exhibiting compassion and attentiveness. Reliability and dependability are crucial to this position.

My care requirements can sometimes be physically demanding, so please consider that before applying.

Previous experience/training is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. Training can be provided to the right individual. I would take a positive attitude and a willingness to learn over experience any day of the week.

A class 5 driver's license and a willingness to drive my vehicle is a tremendous asset but not a requirement.

Applicant requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.

Must reside in the Calgary/Airdrie area as lodging is not available.

Must be willing to provide a background check.

Hours and wage:

At the present time, I am looking for assistance Sunday & Monday ~8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. with the possibility of longer shifts depending on scheduling and how well we get on.

Wage is $20/hour to start.
