CJ Corporate Management Inc. is seeking an experienced part-time Accounting Consultant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks, demonstrated expertise in managing month-end close processes, and hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can deliver accurate financial reporting and recommend process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany adjustments, and account reconciliations.

- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in a timely manner.

- Manage the full accounts payable cycle: invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, vendor reconciliations, and reporting.

- Manage accounts receivable functions: invoicing, payment application, credit control, collections, and aged receivables management.

- Maintain and optimize QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) -- ensure chart of accounts integrity, transaction coding, and accurate reporting.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, aged balances, and variance analysis.

- Support cash flow forecasting and short-term cash management activities.

- Prepare documentation and schedules to support external audits and year-end procedures.

- Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements; provide training and guidance to staff as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a similar role with responsibility for month-end close, AP, and AR.

- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CGA, CMA, or QuickBooks Certification). A degree or certification is required.

- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and experience maintaining company books.

- Advanced Excel skills (Microsoft software) and comfort with financial reporting tools.

- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
