What is the Role?
ColdFront requires a Parts Specialist that is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and administrative support to both our internal and external customers, with a focus on our parts service and operational administration. Acting as an ambassador of the ColdFront Brand during your daily tasks and interactions, this position is the first point of contact for the shop, contributing to our business model by providing the necessary support to our shop operations by working the front counter service desk, administration, and warehouse inventory.

The successful candidate will not only be responsible for customer service and sales of our parts and products to our customers, but in this role, you will deliver administrative support of the day-to-day activities of the shop.
Role Responsibilities:
Primary "customer- facing" position within the shop, as this position is responsible for handling the customers service aspects of the branch (phone, in person, or online)
Parts Service Counter focused; managing existing and building new customer relationships
Administrative shop support; documentation (work orders, service writing, etc...) and our internal technology based systems
Looking up parts in parts manuals for customers
Schedule appointments
Maintain positive relationships between customers and branch employees
Warehouse Inventory; inputting/managing inventory levels on computer system
Shipping and receiving as required
Provide technical assistance to customers
Provide alternative products/solutions for out of stock items or long lead-time items
Co-ordinate orders with customers and providers
Resolving incorrect orders or shipping errors with customers
Responsible for building strong customer relations
Other duties as assigned
Education, Knowledge and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in Customer Service environment
Experience as a parts counter and/or in administration related to transport/automotive industry
Warehouse inventory experience
Previous industry related experience in a repair shop environment is an asset
Journeyman Parts Technician certification is an asset
Qualifications:
Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can work without a lot of direct supervision; able to ask for direction or additional help when needed
Excellent Customer Service skills
Proficiency in basic computer functions and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is necessary.
Excellent time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, enjoys working with people and helping customers
Self-motivated, strong problem solving abilities, continuous improvement and proven decision making skills
Extremely well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
