The successful candidate will be responsible for the sale of a wide range of products including but not limited to compressed air equipment, parts, accessories, and pneumatic tools. You must possess a positive, team-focused attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to consistently perform high-quality detailed work.

This job is a great match for people who enjoy lots of variety, problem-solving, and continuous learning and development. Ideal candidates for this role will have a strong technical aptitude combined with previous industrial sales experience. Previous air compressor and/or industrial equipment sales experience is an asset for this position, however we will train suitable candidates.

Daily activities include:

  • Responding professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, fax, face-to face.
  • Asking clarifying questions to identify customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Selling and promoting of equipment, parts, accessories, tools, and services.
  • Utilizing computer, business systems, and software to organize work, identify parts, create estimates, review and invoice customer orders.
  • Parts identification using supplier manuals, business systems, software, and online resources.
  • Coordinating accurate estimates through to customer satisfaction and follow up.
  • Effectively communicating product features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
  • Ensuring customer orders are accurately filled and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Invoicing of parts, equipment, tools, and accessories to customers.
  • Ordering of parts, equipment, tools, and accessories from suppliers.
  • Maintaining optimal stock inventory levels of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Accurate picking, receiving, packaging, and shipping of goods.
  • Tagging and labeling of merchandise.
  • Stocking of items numerically, and according to size, shape, and type.
  • Material handling using forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Moving and placement of items on to shelves, service vehicles, and delivery trucks.
  • Interacting with internal staff, departments, outside vendors, delivery truck drivers, etc.
  • Administrative duties associated with ordering, receiving, shipping, invoicing, returns, etc.
  • Organizing and cleaning of warehouse, service shop, and associated areas.
  • Periodic assistance required for various warehouse and service shop tasks.
Requirements

  • Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with a wide variety of people.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Technical aptitude and interest. Comprehension of technical manuals, parts manuals, and maintenance schedules.
  • Understanding of basic accounting procedures.
  • Computer savvy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and associated business software.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in handling frequent paperwork and documentation processes.
  • Ability to work at a computer station while sitting at desk for extended periods of time.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position; includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift or move more than 50 lbs unassisted.
Qualifications:
  • We are looking for persistent, hard-working people, who are self-motivated to achieve sales results.
  • High level of integrity and ethical values.
  • High school diploma mandatory. Post-secondary diploma or certificate preferred.
  • Minimum two years of inside sales experience with industrial products and services preferred.
  • Previous air compressor or industrial sales experience is an asset however we will train suitable candidates who possess proven sales skills, technical aptitude, and dedicated work ethic.
  • Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI's in previous 5 years.
  • Valid forklift certification preferred.
  • Valid Level 1 or 2 Occupational First Aid training is an asset.
  • Seeking candidates eligible for employment locally in the Lower Mainland region. Position is not eligible for relocation.
  • Subject to human rights considerations, an immunization record showing you have received the COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to the start of employment. In the event you have only received one vaccination, we require proof that your second vaccination has been received.
Schedule:
  • 8-Hour, day shift, Monday to Friday.
  • No weekends.

  • Remuneration package includes base salary, commission, and performance bonus.
