Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking for qualified workers to join our dynamic team to run heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, conveyors, haul trucks, and wash plants.

We are preparing for the new season and are in search of Parts Person.

This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy working hard for half the year and playing hard for the rest of it. Typically, our employees work through the Yukon warmer months and travel south for the winter.

We provide accommodations and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

This is a 24/7 operation with two shifts each day. During time off employees may stay on the site or venture to Dawson city for some time away.

Duties will include the following:

• Record and monitor parts that are on order, expected delivery, and arrival
• Setting up purchasing POs in software system
• Request quotes from parts vendors and evaluate and make recommendations on where to purchase parts considering economics, quality of parts, and expected timeline
• Follow up on part orders and do necessary coordination to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with vendors and arrange pick up of parts
• Monitors stock levels to ensure appropriate inventory levels and to minimize obsolete parts
• Orders additional inventory as required
• Receives all incoming goods verifying quantities received against quantities shipped on packing slips
• Completes Return to Vendor forms when shipping purchased goods back to vendor
• Issues all parts and supplies to Field Technicians and records transactions on the appropriate Work Order
• Conducts semi-annual inventory of all serial numbered equipment
• Works with the Operations & Service Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
• Assists in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness
• Seek out new vendors, suppliers and manufactures and negotiate terms and pricing for greater profitability
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that may affect parts sales
