Job Description

Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, the Parts Support Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Parts Person and the shop team. This position helps keep operations running smoothly by assisting with ordering, receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and supplies, while ensuring the shop remains safe, efficient, and well stocked.

How You'll Add Value

Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment Support the Parts Person with daily parts ordering, receiving, and inventory tasks Maintain organized parts storage areas to ensure items are easy to locate and accessible Assist with verifying incoming shipments and ensuring accuracy against purchase orders Help track inventory levels, reorder points, and warranty or core return information Prepare and label parts for work orders and distribute to mechanics as needed Support record keeping and documentation in the inventory management system Perform pickups and deliveries to and from vendors as required Communicate effectively with shop staff, operators, and suppliers to support parts needs Assist with yard organization, including equipment and materials placement, general cleanup, and maintaining safe access routes Contribute to the safety culture by maintaining clean and hazard-free work areas Perform other administrative or logistical duties in support of the maintenance team Perform other duties as required

What You Bring

Valid Class 5 Operator's License; with Driver's Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions 1+ years of experience in a similar role and industry an asset Physically able to safely and consistently lift up to 40lbs regularily
