Tesla is seeking a reliable and organized Parts Finishing Coordinator to support our fast-paced manufacturing department in Richmond Hill, ON. As a member of the Parts Finishing team, you will play a key role in facilitating the smooth flow of manufactured components, ensuring they are handled within guidelines, delivered on schedule, and tracked through our internal systems.
What You'll Do
Coordinate the movement of parts between internal departments and external subcontractors by tracking locations and statuses daily, liaising with teams to resolve delays, and ensuring timely production completion
Create and manage purchase orders for subcontracted work by entering details into an ERP system, following up on order confirmations and deliveries, and maintaining accurate documentation and tracking
Review component engineering drawings to identify basic processing requirements by noting key details and adhering to predefined steps
Receive and inspect incoming parts by counting and checking upon arrival, reporting discrepancies to supervisors, and verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and specifications
Accurately record receipt of parts in the ERP system by inputting data promptly, updating records for accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date inventory
Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including production teams, engineers, and management, by sending updates via email or meetings, escalating issues as needed, and covering lead times, schedules, and changes
Ensure team success by assisting with hands-on tasks when directed, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting operations like parts washing, deburring, vapor honing, or laser marking as needed
What You'll Bring
1-2 years of experience in a coordination role, preferably in machining or manufacturing, with entry-level support role familiarity and basic factory workflow knowledge
Basic analytical and organizational skills, with ability to follow technical documents, organize tasks efficiently, and share straightforward information effectively
Proficiency in ERP systems (i.e. SAP, M1, JobBOSS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), including basic data entry, reporting, and spreadsheet tracking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with stakeholders and vendors by responding promptly and collaborating in teams
Ability to work independently and make routine decisions with some guidance by handling daily tasks autonomously and seeking input for non-routine issues
