Downey Ford Sussex has an immediate opening for a full time Automotive Parts Counter/ Support

Representative

Summary

The Automotive Automotive Parts Counter/ Support Representative reports to the Operations Manager. They will support the Parts and Service Departments not only behind the counter, but also shuttling customers, delivering vehicles and a variety of other tasks.

Job Duties

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties.

Providing parts support to service department and customers Selling parts over the counter to customers Maintain a high level of customer service. Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge (training provided). Answer parts incoming phone line, as needed. Shuttle driver when needed Delivering/picking up customer vehicles Parts inventory Ordering parts Assisting in the shop Pulling and storing seasonal tires

Requirements

Must provide and maintain a Class 5, NB drivers license, cleared drivers abstract and criminal background check.

Previous experience in a similar position or in the automotive industry preferred.

Physically demanding position -

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, stand, walk, bend, twist and reach overhead frequently without restriction Computer literate using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. High level of integrity and work ethic. Must wear PPE and follow safety standards

Work Conditions

Physical demanding Intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to shop conditions. Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles. Hazards associated with the trade
