Hickman Automotive Group is looking for a Parts Clerk to join our team at our HML Gander location. Responsibilities
- Conducting parts sales via telephone and internet
- Searching and supplying parts through our electronic catalogue for a variety of customers which includes retail, wholesale, as well as our service department technicians
- Ensuring all special order parts are ordered in a timely manner and notifying customers once they arrive
- Invoicing and accepting payments from our retail and wholesale customers
- Invoicing parts on service department repair orders
- Proper care, stocking and attention to parts bins
- General housekeeping duties
- Assist with loading and unloading of freight
- Understands importance of excellent customer service
- Organizational Skills
- Ability to assist the Parts Manager in analyzing and resolving discrepancies between computer inventory and actual parts on hand
- Ability to receive customers, establish rapport, and determine and attend to customers\' needs
- Ability to match customers\' needs with appropriate parts or services
- Knowledge of parts counter procedures, such as requiring prepayment for special orders, etc.
- Ability to lift some heavy parts
