Job Summary



The role of the Parts Advisor is crucial in overseeing the inventory of vehicle parts, ensuring that it is efficiently managed to meet the demands of both internal teams and customers. By bridging the gap between suppliers, technicians, and clients, the Parts Advisor plays a key part in ensuring that the right components are available when needed, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.The Parts Advisor is essential in managing vehicle parts inventory and supporting both internal teams and customers.

They also play a vital role in our wider community assisting repair shops, fleet operators, and independent mechanics, ensuring they have the right parts at the right time. By building strong relationships with these external customers, the Parts Advisor helps keep everything running smoothly in the automotive world. Key Responsibilities



Process orders via phone, email, or in person Assist the Service Department in finding the right parts for vehicles Process parts orders and provide accurate pricing, availability, and delivery estimates Maintain an organized and up to date inventory of parts and supplies Conduct regular stock checks and reorder parts as needed/advised Handle incoming shipments, verify deliveries, and update inventory records Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs Source and supply special-order parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs Track back-orders and ensure timely delivery of parts Ensure warranty parts are properly processed and documented Use dealership software to track inventory, generate invoices, and process transactions Maintain records of parts sold, used, returned, or exchanged Arrange and oversee deliveries to wholesale customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a courteous manner Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications



Strong knowledge of automotive parts, brands, and industry trends At least three years experience as a parts advisor/wholesales or a related role in a dealership or parts distributor Excellent customer service and communication skills Familiarity with dealership inventory management software (CDK preferred) Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain management Must be able to lift and transport automotive parts safely up to 25lbs

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

CDK Inventory Management: 1 year (preferred) Parts Advisor: 1 year (preferred) Dealership/Automotive: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:

Qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (preferred) G Drivers license (required)
