Connect Partnership Group conceptualizes, finances, and delivers market-leading conferences that create meaningful experiences, foster connection, and drive positive economic and social outcomes. Since 2017, we've worked alongside Indigenous communities, industry, and governments to create spaces that are thoughtful, impactful, and commercially strong.
We're a small, ambitious team who care deeply about the communities we serve and the work we do. We take our responsibilities seriously -- but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We value curiosity, humility, trust, and collaboration, and we believe great work happens when people feel supported, respected, and able to be themselves.
The Role
We're looking for an energetic, curious, and relationship-driven Partnerships Manager who wants to make a real impact.
In this role, you'll identify, initiate, and grow relationships that support corporate participation, sponsorship, and partnerships across our portfolio of high-profile events. You'll own your sales plan end-to-end -- from prospecting and discovery through to closing, stewardship, and renewal -- while working closely with our marketing, operations, and content teams to deliver a seamless experience for partners.
This is a high-engagement, relationship-based sales role that rewards discipline, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand the buyer's perspective and sell meaningful value.
What You'll Do
Build and execute a clear sales plan to meet weekly, monthly, and annual revenue targets
Proactively prospect and engage new corporate partners through outbound outreach, meetings, and research
Develop compelling value propositions aligned with partner goals and community impact
Manage a high volume of sales activity including calls, emails, meetings (virtual and in-person), proposals, contracts, and reporting
Collaborate closely with internal teams to stay aligned to timelines, deliverables, and partner expectations
Steward long-term relationships to drive renewals, referrals, and repeat participation
Maintain accurate CRM records and a healthy, transparent sales pipeline
The Ideal Candidate
You are someone who is motivated by both results
and
purpose. You bring energy, curiosity, and professionalism to your work and value relationships built on trust and respect.
You:
Take a proactive, self-directed approach and enjoy owning your outcomes
Think entrepreneurially and adapt quickly when faced with challenges
Value integrity, reconciliation, humility, empathy, learning, and community
Are interested in social and economic issues and open to learning through experience
Can translate a vision into a compelling value proposition
Enjoy selling -- and are motivated to consistently exceed targets
Work well independently and collaboratively
Want to contribute to a growing business that is creating meaningful impact
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years' experience in B2B sales, partnerships, account management, stakeholder engagement, media sales, sponsorship, or related roles
Proven ability to qualify prospects, build relationships, and gain commitment
Experience executing outbound sales campaigns and managing a full sales cycle
Comfortable managing a high volume of activity across calls, emails, meetings, and proposals
Proficient using a CRM to manage pipeline and activity (HubSpot preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and decision-makers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience selling sponsorships, exhibits, advertising, or media is a strong asset
Understanding of, or affinity with, Indigenous economies, businesses, and communities is highly valued
