As part of our Strategic Growth Plan , this key leadership role contributes to the development of our Interior BC Tax practice. It is an opportunity to join a high-performing business unit where you will use your expertise to deliver a personalized approach to the client\xe2\x80\x99s business, by providing practical advice that is unique to their business, while helping organizations navigate through the complexities of their Corporate Canadian Tax requirements.

Champion the growth, management and development of our Private Company Practice for Interior BC Business Unit. We operate as one business unit to ensure we bring the best talents to our clients, no matter their office address and further complemented by our ability to access our national and global resources.

  • Have autonomy in your role and be entrusted to run a business
  • Mentor, coach and develop the next generation of leaders
  • Play a key leadership role within the business unit, service line, community, and firm, by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy for the Domestic Tax practice in the region (7 locations) that complements, and is supported by, the firm\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategy for growth
  • Make a meaningful impact with clients and colleagues across Canada , collaborating across service lines, sub-service lines, sectors and geography to provide a menu of options aimed at optimizing the entirety of a client\xe2\x80\x99s business value
Key Requirements

Education
A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in economics, business, law, finance, taxation and/or an accounting designation, JD/LLB or LLM or related field. Certified Professional Accountants designation and related professional training.

Experience and Attributes
  • 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in public accounting or related industry
  • Significant tax planning and compliance experience including an in-depth understanding of Canadian Corporate taxation matters.
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to be an active participant in the development of the tax team * Demonstrated experience in growing a practice and business development
  • Commitment to quality, excellence and continual professional growth for yourself and for those you lead
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels and influence decision-makers
  • Desire to learn and grow, and be an integral part of a team that puts \xe2\x80\x9cwe before me\xe2\x80\x9d, where flexAbility is a mindset, and where you trust your colleagues to have your back
