This is a Partner-level opportunity with an equity stake for a Principal/Director/VP-level professional to further your career by joining our regional Mining and Metals Commercial Leadership Team in a highly visible, business-critical and dynamic leadership role with significant growth potential.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships with Vancouver and/or Toronto based mining and metals companies, technical expertise, and experience leading multi-disciplinary mine development and mineral processing and refining capital projects. This Critical Minerals Commercial Leader serves as a strategic advisor to mining and processing clients across the critical minerals value chain helping them navigate regulatory complexity, ESG pressures, and stakeholder expectations from early-stage concept through execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships in the critical minerals sector. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
ROLE PROFILE
As a Commercial Leader, you will be accountable for successfully selling and consulting across all ERM's offerings to build on an established business in Canada. You will need to network with ERM's regional and global technical communities to share market intelligence and best practices. We are looking for an established leader who combines strong consulting and business development skills with a solid foundation in capital project delivery, and a track record of leading high performing teams to sell and deliver world-class services and outcomes.
The focus areas for this this role will be to:Advance our reputation for developing challenging and complex capital projects. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Execute ERM's strategy of understanding clients' businesses and delivering client value. Lead and manage project execution activities in support of ERM clients' critical minerals projects. Foster and expand client relationships with critical minerals clients aligned with our growth strategy. Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and government agencies. Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant growth with ERM's target critical minerals clients. Demonstrate strong understanding of client needs and raise ERM's profile in the Canadian market. Drive innovation and embrace new ways of working to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the market. Help build, grow, a high-performance team, serving as a commercial leader and mentor. Identify emerging talent and help them reach their full potential through new areas of responsibility. Meet business health and safety standards, financial targets, project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction, risk management, and contract requirements.

Preference will be given to candidates who can be based in Toronto or Vancouver, Canada.
QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS/MS in environmental science, engineering, geology, business or related field. 15+ years' experience in consulting or working in the Mining and Metals Industry, with at least 7 years experience in business development related to capital project development. Solid understanding of the mining industry, an established reputation in the Canadian marketplace and relationships to leverage into new business. Demonstrated understanding of the critical minerals market and industry trends. Business acumen to understand business risks and challenges, and to recognize opportunities to provide enterprise-wide solutions for clients. Demonstrable track record in delivering multi-million-dollar sales/programs.

For the Partner, Critical Minerals position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $150K+ CAD. An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee's fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).
