We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, acute care, pediatrics, and patient care within a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication administration and will work closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Duties
Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapies as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
Educate patients and staff on medication-related topics, including proper administration techniques.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
Qualifications
Active Pharmacist license in Alberta and are in good standing with the respective AB College of Pharmacy.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Injection certification
Additional Prescribing authorization.
Propel Rx software Knowledge.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $90.00-$100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 - 27 per week

Experience:
pharmacist: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
