Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to join our team in Vaughan. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to clients in their homes or assisted living environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized caregiving, assistance with daily activities, and fostering a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social engagement Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times Follow care plans and document client progress accurately Support clients with activities tailored to their individual needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care Collaborate with healthcare teams and family members to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred Knowledge of senior care, working with people with disabilities, dementia care, and medication administration is highly desirable Compassionate nature with excellent caregiving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively Valid PSW certification or relevant caregiving credentials preferred Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings or weekends as needed
