Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of eye disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including pediatrics and senior care.

Duties

Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. Educate patients on proper eye care and the use of prescribed eyewear. Maintain accurate patient records using medical terminology and electronic health record systems, such as Epic. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Engage in sales of optical products while ensuring patients receive the best options for their needs.

Skills

Proven experience in optical settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of eyewear products and services. Experience working with pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable environment for children during examinations. Strong focus on patient care, with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages. Proficient in medical terminology relevant to optometry practices. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is highly desirable. Experience or knowledge in senior care to effectively address the unique needs of elderly patients.
