Role Overview:
Provide nurturing and reliable care for two children in a warm, family-oriented environment. Support the family by managing after-school routines, engaging the children in enriching activities, and ensuring a safe and structured environment until parents return home.
Responsibilities:
Pick up children from school and safely escort them home.
Provide attentive afternoon care, including supervision, homework support, and light organizational tasks.
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities to support physical, social, and emotional development, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and games.
Encourage positive behavior and assist with conflict resolution between the children when needed.
Prepare healthy snacks and assist with any light meal preparation.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including tidying up play areas and assisting with laundry or dishes as required.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's activities, mood, and any notable events throughout the day.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 per week
