Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, with a focus on math, computer science, and special education needs. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students build confidence and skills for academic success.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs Develop customized lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts Incorporate technology and computer tools to facilitate engaging learning experiences Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as appropriate Support students with special education requirements by adapting teaching strategies accordingly Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate students and promote a love of learning Collaborate with teachers and school staff to align tutoring efforts with classroom curricula

Experience

Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred Knowledge of math, computer science, or related STEM fields is highly desirable Classroom experience or teaching background is a plus Speak Mandarin is an asset Strong computer skills for utilizing educational software and online resources Experience in tutoring or teaching in a formal or informal setting is advantageous
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week
