We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gym Teacher to join our educational team. The Gym Teacher (Physical Education Teacher) is responsible for promoting physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and teamwork among students through engaging and inclusive physical education programs. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons that develop students' motor skills, coordination, and understanding of sportsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to inspire students, develop innovative teaching strategies, and contribute to their overall success. The Teacher will work closely with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, ensuring each individual receives personalized support to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Assess student progress Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events Incorporate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning experiences Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education or Physical Education; teaching certification preferred Prior experience working with students or in an educational setting is advantageous Physical education teaching experience Coaching experience an asset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learners Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum standards Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
