Casual Labourer (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview:

We are seeking reliable, hardworking casual labourers to join our team on an independent contractor basis. This role involves a variety of outdoor tasks, including yard clean-up, landscaping support, and assisting with the installation and removal of holiday lighting displays. Work is seasonal and weather-dependent, with flexible hours based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with fall clean-up including raking, bagging, leaf blowing, and general yard maintenance. Support landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, trimming, and other grounds maintenance. Safely install and remove holiday lighting displays on residential and commercial properties. Work comfortably and safely on ladders at varying heights. Follow safety procedures and company standards while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements:

Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to work safely on ladders. Physically fit and able to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in landscaping, outdoor labour, or holiday lighting is an asset but not required. Must provide own transportation to and from job sites.

Employment Type:

Independent Contractor Casual/Seasonal basis with flexible scheduling

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate, based on experience. Paid as an independent contractor (no deductions; responsible for own taxes).
