We are seeking a passionate Part-time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in NW Calgary. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Hours are Monday to Friday 3-6pm. Shift could change based on needs of the centre.
Responsibilities
- Educate and engage children in Early Childhood Education (ECE) activities
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Provide caregiving and support to children
- Implement developmentally appropriate practices for young learners
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support children's growth and development
- Interact with families at arrival, advising parents of the child's day, any reports to be signed, etc.
- Closing daycare duties to be accomplished by multitasking (light cleaning while providing care)
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Level 1 certification minimum required
