Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal care and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal facilities. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor. Assist with bathing and grooming as needed. Ensure that all supplies are stocked and organized. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times. Support veterinary staff during examinations or treatments when necessary.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting, including moving animals or equipment as required. Compassionate attitude towards animals with a strong commitment to their welfare. Good organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the kennel environment. Ability to work well in a team setting while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
