We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic

Part-Time Daycare Assistant

to join our team. The ideal candidate will support classroom educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Assisting classroom educators in supervising and guiding toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten-aged children. Supporting daily routines such as circle time, playtime, outdoor activities, and nap time. Helping with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities and learning materials. Maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment. Providing gentle and responsive care to children while promoting independence. Substituting as needed in different classrooms. Working cooperatively with team members and contributing positively to the daycare community. Cleaning hallway and/or children washrooms Assisting in other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

CPR and First Aid certification required. Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is an asset. Must have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods. A positive attitude, team spirit, and a passion for working with children.

Hours:

Part-time, between

8:00 am and 6:00 pm

(exact schedule to be determined based on staffing needs).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
