Job Description

Family Service Regina, a community-based, not-for-profit agency, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Master's-level Counsellor to join our Counselling team.

This position provides brief, solution-focused therapy to individuals, couples, and families seeking timely support. The Counsellor will work from a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based framework, assisting people to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and access the right supports. Services are primarily provided in-office, with the possibility of some virtual or community-based sessions.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct clinical assessments and provide brief therapy to individuals, couples, and families presenting with a variety of concerns such as stress, anxiety, relationships, parenting, and grief. Utilize evidence-based and outcome-informed approaches, including solution-focused and trauma-informed interventions. Work collaboratively with clients to establish clear, achievable goals within a single-session or short-term model. Provide referrals and warm connections to additional community supports and Family Service Regina programs as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and professional standards. Participate in supervision, team consultation, and program evaluation to support quality service delivery. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

Qualifications and Requirements



Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a related field. Professional registration (or eligibility) with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, or another recognized professional body. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Criminal record check required. Flexibility to work at least one evening per week.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.24-$42.01 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
