Thursday: 9:00-4:00 PM Friday: 9:30-5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated

Community Support Worker

to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with diverse abilities--including those who may present with challenging behaviors--in 1:1, 1:3, and small group settings. You'll assist individuals in reaching personal goals, enhancing their independence, and participating fully in their home and community life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized support in a variety of settings (home, community, small groups) Assist with daily living skills development: physical, emotional, social, recreational, vocational, and economic Promote independence and community engagement Participate in the planning, implementation, and documentation of individualized Service Plans Facilitate small group activities with creativity and enthusiasm

What We're Looking For

Experience in disability support, social services, or a related field (preferred) Certificate/Diploma in Disability Support, Community Services, or related field (asset) Experience supporting individuals with Autism (asset) Immediate availability (asset)

Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and a clear Driver's Abstract Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) through the Ministry of Justice Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Dependable, with a strong work ethic and sound problem-solving skills Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering individuals with disabilities

To Be Obtained Within 3 Months of Employment:

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or equivalent WHMIS certification Food Safe certification Negative TB screening test
