Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shelter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care and support to the animals in our shelter, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This position requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for shelter animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of animal living areas and common spaces within the shelter. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members. Assist with the intake and adoption processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Engage with visitors, providing information about shelter services and available animals for adoption. Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both animals and staff.
Experience
Previous experience working in an animal care setting is preferred but not required. Comfortable interacting with dogs (of all sizes) and cats in close quarters. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams. A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Pay: From $15.65 per hour
