Job Description
:
Enforce the City of Stratford Parking By-Laws and related policies
- Maintain assigned patrol beat as per schedule, or as requested by the client
- Conduct daily inspection of site equipment, including hand-held machines, printers, and duty vehicle (if applicable)
- Respond to calls from the City of Stratford, for parking By-Law enforcement
- Provide assistance to other members of the detachment, as well as law enforcement agencies, as requested
- Maintain a high level of standards with regards to personal appearance, hygiene, and deportment
- Provide assistance to city residents, visitors, employees, clients, etc
- Complete daily logs and written reports as necessary
- Be a frontline ambassador for the City of Stratford, Commissionaires Great Lakes
- Be able to adjust your scheduled shifts as requested by the client, based on city events or other needs
- Perform other duties as requested by client, supervisor, or regional manager
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License
- Provide proof of full vaccination; maintain compliance with CGL and client vaccination policies
- Possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite. eg: Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
- Be able to think critically
- Be able to de-escalate situations as necessary
- A comprehensive knowledge of the City of Stratford streets, venues, and events is an asset
- Take ongoing courses offered through CGL, or by client, that will enhance your ability to act as a Parking By-Law Officer
Training:
Selected candidates will train with site supervisor and/or senior officer, on theory and practice of understanding the parking by-laws, writing tickets, maintaining equipment, and preparing for court as required. Training is approx. 40hrs in length.
Shift Timing: Full-Time
Monday - Friday OR Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00-16:00 OR 10:00-18:00
