Position Overview Ancillary Services is currently seeking three (3) Recurring Part-time Parking Enforcement Officers. Reporting to the Parking Supervisor, this position is responsible for the enforcement of the Parking and Transportation regulations of University Property including the Main, Foothills and Spyhill locations. Based on availability, the position can be scheduled between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm & may include weekdays and weekends. There are some periods of high work load and activity. Must be able to work outdoors. Position Description Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Issuing infraction ticket for vehicles which violate the parking regulations. Using the Parking and Transportation Policies and Regulations, understand and interpret regulations as they apply to the issuance of parking infraction tickets.
  • Assist with traffic control and Motor Assistance Program.
  • Some break or fill-in shifts in Parking kiosks.
  • Act as an ambassador for the University by providing assistance, information and directions to visitors, faculty, staff and students.
  • Provide enforcement of regulations in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to University community and general public while carrying out regular duties.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 equivalency.
  • Ability to use computerized equipment in an effective manner.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to make consistent and reliable decisions.
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical abilities.
  • Capability of walking for several hours per shift.
  • Operation of a University vehicle; A valid Class 5 driver\'s license (cannot be a graduated license) with proven good driving record (abstract required); Drivers abstract must be provided at time of hiring.
