Job Overview:

Cowan Buick GMC is currently seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented

Shuttle Driver / Lot Attendant

to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive customer experience and smooth day-to-day operations within our dealership. You will be responsible for transporting customers, organizing and maintaining the vehicle lot, inspecting and checking in vehicles, and performing general janitorial and housekeeping duties throughout the dealership -- both inside and outside.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Shuttle Service:

Safely transport customers to and from the dealership using the designated shuttle vehicle. Maintain a clean and professional vehicle interior and exterior at all times. Greet all customers with courtesy and professionalism; ensure a friendly and comfortable ride. Schedule and coordinate pickup/drop-off times with the service department. Assist customers in and out of the shuttle vehicle when necessary.

Vehicle Lot Organization:

Maintain an organized and clean vehicle display lot, service parking area, and customer parking areas. Move, park, and retrieve dealership vehicles as directed by management or service advisors. Ensure all vehicles are properly aligned, clean, and displayed professionally. Assist with dealership vehicle snow removal, salting, and seasonal preparations.

Vehicle Check-In & Inspection:

Receive and log incoming vehicles for service and sales. Ensuring keys are tagged and stored properly. Perform a visual inspection of each vehicle upon arrival for body damage, mileage, fuel level, and other basic conditions. Record findings accurately and report any discrepancies or issues to the service advisor or manager. Ensure vehicles are marked and parked in designated areas for service processing.

General Janitorial Duties:

Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dealership showroom, service waiting area, customer lounges, and restrooms. Regularly sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty garbage inside the dealership. Clean exterior areas such as entryways, walkways, and drive lanes. Perform light building maintenance and notify management of any repair needs. Ensure dealership grounds are presentable at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Prior experience in a dealership or customer service role is an asset but not required.
