The Jurassic Forest and Learning Centre is an outdoor active learning park located just minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta. Opened in July 2010 Jurassic Forest is Canada\xe2\x80\x99s largest animatronic dinosaur park, with trails set on 40 acres of old growth forest. Open seasonally from May to October, Jurassic Forest welcomes visitors of all ages to experience prehistory like never before. As a Maintenance Technician you are an integral member of our team, working both behind the scenes as well as within a front line position. A solution-oriented individual with a positive attitude, you are a Jack of all trades who thrives in an outdoor environment and is ready to achieve different goals every day. It\'s up to you to ensure the Jurassic Forest shines and shows the pride that we feel in our facilities and displays! Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week Salary: $16.00-$17.50 per hour Schedule:
- Report to the Maintenance Manager and General Manager.
- Perform general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and grounds.
- Maintain good appearance and proper working order of animatronics, equipment, and displays.
- Familiarity with hand tools and some power tools an asset.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving as well as excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and expand your knowledge base.
- Strong ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
- Computer and mechanical skills are an asset.
- A family-friendly attitude, strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence and customer service.
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, snow, and wind.
- An Alberta high school diploma or equivalent \xe2\x80\x93 some post-secondary is preferred.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, with a proactive and responsible attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality of service.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg.
- Seasonal position running from approximately mid-April to September 2022, with opportunities to stay until the end of October. May be opportunities to become a permanent position.
- Part-time and full-time positions available.
- Access to reliable transportation is necessary due to the facility being located outside of city limits.
Contract length: 6 months

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
