Parish Administrator at St Helen\xe2\x80\x99s Anglican Church: A Central Role in Church Operations and Community Engagement Your Role: The Cornerstone of Our Church\'s Daily Operations At St Helen\xe2\x80\x99s Anglican Church, we are seeking a dedicated Parish Administrator who will not only be the cornerstone of our daily church operations but also play a vital role in managing our rental spaces. This dual-role position demands a dynamic, organized, and community-focused individual who can seamlessly integrate the administrative responsibilities of our parish with the active coordination of our venue sharing strategy. Your Responsibilities: Ensuring Smooth Operations and Maximizing Community Space As our Parish Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for the parish, handling communication through phone, email, and in-person visits with a warm, personable demeanor.
  • Overseeing the efficiency of church office operations, including purchasing supplies, maintaining organized filing systems, and preparing worship materials.
  • Coordinating building maintenance, managing the church calendar, and scheduling to ensure all activities run smoothly.
  • Addressing office concerns with tact and professionalism, while maintaining up-to-date records and registers.
  • Managing parish website updates and overseeing rental agreements, bookings, and billing processes.
  • Oversee and manage the availability and use of various spaces within St Helen\xe2\x80\x99s Anglican Church, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.
  • Engage with prospective clients, providing tours and essential information about our facilities.
  • Working with the wardens and clergy to maintain the rental policy and procedures, including setting appropriate
rental rates and other requirements. Your Profile: The Ideal Combination of Skills and Qualities The ideal candidate for this position should have:
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and website content management, with an aptitude for software used in space booking and management.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills, with an acute attention to detail.
  • Experience in facility or property management, or a relevant blend of experience and education.
  • The ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience with email marketing tools, customer service, or client relations is a plus.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the policies set by the Parish Council.
