Responsibilities
Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks and courier vans to deliver products to customers' locations.
Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items.
Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns during deliveries.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs and receipts, and report any issues or delays promptly.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report maintenance needs as necessary.
Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management and moving stock when required.
Skills
Proven experience as a Parcel delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and time management.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Experience operating commercial vehicles, especially box trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and moving items.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred) and pallet jacks.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, loading/unloading cargo, and vehicle maintenance.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; specific experience with drivers or similar classifications is advantageous.
