We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field. This role involves providing essential support to attorneys by conducting research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by compiling relevant information and documentation.
Manage case files using iManage software to ensure all records are up-to-date and accessible.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain organized records.
Exhibit strong phone etiquette when communicating with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
Coordinate project management tasks to ensure timely completion of legal assignments.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within the legal field is preferred.
Proficiency in legal drafting and familiarity with various types of legal documents.
Strong research skills with the ability to utilize online databases effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex information clearly.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
Competence in using iManage or similar document management systems is desirable.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
