Job Description


We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Bilingual (English/French) Paralegal for our client. This two-month contract is a perfect opportunity for an early career candidate to gain hands-on experience in the Small Claims Court process.Position: Bilingual (English/French) Paralegal
Shift: Fulltime availability (40 hours/week)
Salary: $23-24/HR
Location: Pickering, ONAdvantages
This is a two-month contract position, with the possibility of extension.

-Prepare pleadings and drafting of various court documents
-Conduct and complete legal research as required
-Skip Tracing
-Arrange and manage legal settlements and collections
-Prepare and attend various court appearances
-Open, maintain, and organize a high quantity of legal files
-Liaise with other members of the legal department
-Plan and organize the workflow to ensure all cutoffs and deadlines are met
-Consistently hitting or exceeding monthly targetsQualifications
Paralegal Diploma or Certificate
Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
Accreditation in good standings
Professional Liability Insurance
Must have the ability to communicate in both French and English, verbally and in writing
-Knowledge of the Rules of the Small Claims Court and Small Claims Debt Collections
-Relevant working experience is an asset but not required
-Excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to company systems
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Highly organized and detail-oriented
-Exceptional customer service skills
-Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
-Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlinesSummary
