For many decades, Black students have experienced anti-Black racism within the education system. Parents of Black Children (PoBC) was formed in response to this reality, advocating for the educational rights and well-being of Black children and families--particularly in York Region and across Ontario.
Working in partnership with African Canadian community groups across the province and Canada, PoBC aims to:
1. Collectivize Black parents
2. Create opportunities for knowledge exchange
3. Advocate on behalf of Black families
4. Drive systemic change in education
