QUALIFICATION STANDARDS



As it requires maintaining our operation and continuing our business success. Pantry Cook you will be required to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, especially at peak hours and peak seasons like Summer time (Month of June July, August, November and December.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation. At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity. Strong knowledge of food plating techniques Strong knowledge of health & safety rules in a kitchen Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Professional training from an accredited culinary school is considered an asset.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS



Prepare cold appetizers Prepare salads, vegetable trays and charcuterie trays Prepare garnish for dishes Assist banquet chef with garnishing dishes Prepare dressing and sauces Set up stocking stations with all necessary supplies Follow the direction and guidance of the kitchen supervisors & Executive Chef Clean up your work station and follow company standards with regards to left over food Stock inventory Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with our guests and your fellow team members Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Handles stores and rotates all products properly. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen. Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
