John & Sons Oyster House is a downtown Toronto staple with an East Coast soul. We take our food and service seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Our menu celebrates fresh oysters, seafood, and seasonal ingredients served with care and craft.
The Role
We're looking for a
Pantry / Garde Manger Cook
to join our kitchen team. This role is all about precision, speed, and pride in the details. You'll be responsible for preparing and plating cold dishes -- from tartares to composed salads and seafood towers -- that set the tone for the John & Sons experience.Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed
- Help with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role preferred
-Food Handlers Certified
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work day's, evenings, weekends, we are closed most holidays

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
