About the Role



We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Builder to join our industrial controls team. This role focuses on the assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial control panels in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical standards.

Candidates with an Electrical Trade background or Red Seal Electrician certification will be given strong consideration, but this is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities



Assemble and wire industrial control panels, MCCs, and automation panels Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Install components including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, power supplies, relays, terminal blocks, and instrumentation Perform point-to-point wiring, labeling, and cable management to company standards Conduct internal testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks prior to shipment Ensure builds comply with UL508A, CSA, and company quality standards Identify drawing errors, material shortages, or design issues and communicate them proactively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Support continuous improvement initiatives within the panel shop Collaborate with engineering, QC, and project management teams

Required Qualifications



Experience building industrial control panels or similar electrical assemblies Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality Good organizational and time-management skills Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong safety awareness and adherence to procedures

Assets / Preferred Qualifications



Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician certification Electrical apprenticeship experience UL508A panel shop experience Experience with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Phoenix Contact, or similar platforms Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Familiarity with EPLAN or AutoCAD drawings
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
