Emergency Energy Products Limited (EEP) is an electrical equipment manufacturing company that offers ideal solutions for our customers' standby power needs. We are currently hiring a full-time Electrical Panel Assembler/Panel Builder at our Oshawa, ON location.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our growing team in the position of Electrical Panel Assembler/Panel Builder. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling transfer switches, electrical components and wiring systems according to provided diagrams and instructions.

The ideal candidate MUST have experience using hand and power tools and MUST be able to read electrical schematics/drawings. Training will be provided on transfer switches/electrical components and their functions. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work both independently and as a part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Assembly / Shop Responsibilities:

Wiring of assemblies as per electrical schematics and drawings. Component layout according to drawings. Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screwdrivers, tape measure, wrenches and pliers. Position, bolt, screw, clip, adjust or fasten parts and components together using hand, power tools, and equipment. Enclosure cut-outs and modifications. Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input/output devices and/or all other related electrical devices. Conduct quality control checks/test equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Clean and maintain work area, shop and equipment. Occasional attendance in the field for service and support of EEP products. Packing, shipping and receiving. Other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and specifications. Will be asked to demonstrate this ability during interview. 2-3 years' experience wiring small and large electrical panels (120V-600V). Experience using basic hand tools, power tools and measuring devices. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment and pivot tasks as required. Ability to squat, bend & lift up to 60lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small. Experience with transfer switches and/or generators is an asset but not required. Dependable and detail oriented. Forklift license an asset but not required. Proficient in both spoken and written English. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Class G driver's license (minimum) and own vehicle an asset but not required.
