As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. Duties



Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings to healthcare professionals as needed Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by medical teams Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning patient areas and common spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment that promotes well-being Assist with transportation for appointments or outings within the community Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and other relevant topics to enhance caregiving skills Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans that meet each individual's unique needs Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction

Requirements



Previous experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care or long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts required Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others Ability to follow detailed care plans meticulously while adapting to changing needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 12 per week
